Ryan Uy, MD,
Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician
Dr. Ryan Uy is a Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrician residing in Washington, D.C.
He completed his 3 years of pediatric residency training at Southern Illinois University – School of Medicine, in Springfield, IL and continued to pursue another 3 years of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics fellowship training at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Ohio.
His passion in the field of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics stemmed from his brother, Francis, who has Down syndrome. Having a very close relationship with a loved one with a disability from a young age had a profound effect on him. This experience molded him to care deeply and have empathy for individuals with disability and their families.
After completing his training, he moved to Washington, D.C. and joined Children’s National Hospital, where he saw a wide breadth of patients. He has served the D.C. metro area (D.C., Maryland and Virginia) for 7 years. His clinical interests include autism, ADHD and children with genetic syndromes.
